Studies

Starting 2020, those enrolled in the Applied Mathematics Bachelor’s study program at KTU during second year of studies will be able to choose a new specialization – Mathematical Methods of Financial Technologies.

Choosing the new specialization, students will be able to become professionals who can cope with the complex challenges that arise in the changing financial markets.

We take into account global and Lithuanian trends and offer students  opportunities that will give them maximum development and career prospects.

 

Projects

The researchers of the faculty participate in national and international projects and take care of the dissemination and popularization of science, preparing high-level scientific publications, which have been awarded various prizes. The faculty also constantly promotes the development of applied student work.

Different companies make daily decisions every day – how to optimize their activities, improve their performance or increase profits. Solutions based on mathematical calculations and methods can bring significant benefits.

The goal of the Workshop of Mathematical Solutions in Business and Industry (ESGI) is to promote cooperation between business and science in order to solve business problems by using mathematical methods. The Workshop brings together researchers and business representatives for solving real-world problems that modern companies face.

KTU Big Data School is an international event focused on the development of knowledge and skills in the field of big data of scientists and experts from business.

Baltic H2020 FinTech Workshop

The event is designed to discuss FinTech’s current situation in the region, the need for sustainable development, trends and challenges facing both financial market regulators and FinTech companies themselves, as well as research in the framework of H2020.

 

SupTech on Blockchain in Tallinn, 12-13 November 2020

The event is designed to discuss blockchain challenges that arises in Estonian FinTech industry and present scientific solutions that could be standards in future SupTech.

Final event of the H2020 project

We are happy to invite you to the final workshop of our Project. It will be a virtual event on the 18 of June 2021. Along with three keynote presentations we will have three discussion panels. At these panels together with invited experts and representatives of local supervisors we update and discuss our 12 Use-cases developed and disseminated during these two and half years of our fruitful collaboration.
